Mid Shore Council on
In April of 2022, donations from our meeting were given to The Mid Shore Council on Family Violence, a local organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence through intervention and prevention by providing shelter, counselling, services, and advocacy for victims Our donation from this meeting totaled over 8,500 dollars. Compass Regional Hospice
In March of 2020, donations from our meeting were given to Compass, a local hospice and grief support center that offers comprehensive care to patients, caregivers and families. Our donation from this meeting totaled 11,500 dollars, an all time high. For more information on Compass you can visit their website here.
Chesapeake Bay Environvental Center
In October 2019, donations from our bi-annual meeting were awarded to CBEC. The group's mission is to promote stewardship and sustainability through environmental education and habitat restoration. Our $8,300 donation was earmarked to cover the expense of Summer Camp for low-income children. For more information on the center, visit their website here.
Power of 100. Chesapeake Women Who Care
In February of 2019 Donations from our first meeting were given to Crossroads. This nonprofit organization provides behavioral health rehabilitation and case management services to residents of five counties on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Their mission is to teach skills and to access resources that empower people with behavioral health needs to recover and live satisfying and productive lives. Crossroads promotes community acceptance through advocacy and community education. Our group was able to donate $6,600.00 which was earmarked for the Crossroads Community dental program.
